Dragons that Fly

“Most human beings have an absolute and infinite capacity for taking things for granted.” ~ Aldous Huxley ~

This is not one of my pictures.  Pretty.  I can’t recall ever having seen one like this.

We got through Hurricane/Tropical Storm Michael.  We had no power for a couple of days, but I won’t complain about that considering what others have dealt with recently.  I try not to take things for granted and to be grateful for what I do have.  Things can be better, but they can also be worse.  It can be hard to remember that sometimes.  Gratitude journals do help you refocus on what is important.

Blurry Bee!

Yes, I know the bumble bee is blurry, but the bee balm came out okay!  “Always look on the bright side of life…”    It’s stuck in your head now, isn’t it?   : )

Smile Again

“For of all sad words of tongue or pen,

The saddest are these: ‘It might have been!’ ” ~John Greeleaf Whittier ~

I needed a dose of my own dragonfly medicine today.  I have Pearl Jam “Black” on continuous replay.  Not good for smiling.  I was going to post a Black Widow spider, but my spider pictures don’t seem to go over well.

Box Turtle

boxturtle 003signedSaw this cute boy in my driveway.  Fortunately I had my camera with me.  I have seen him before a few years ago.  I’m glad he is still okay.  There was a black snake the other day, but I only had my phone camera and it’s not very good.  Not a smart phone.  This morning taking my son to school, I saw a deer and a wild turkey.  Monday was bunny day.  I could never live in a city again!
